1. Introduction

By using Author-LL, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the beta workflow.

2. Beta status

Author-LL is currently a beta environment. Features, workflows, layouts, integrations, and outputs may change as the system evolves.

Some tools may be incomplete, provisional, or available only to invited users.

3. Eligibility and invited access

Access may be limited to invited authors, testers, collaborators, or approved participants. We may approve, refuse, pause, or withdraw beta access at our discretion.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for:

• keeping your login credentials secure
• using the platform only through your own authorised account
• notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised

You must not share access in ways that bypass intended beta controls.

5. Author content and uploaded materials

You may upload materials such as manuscripts, summaries, notes, onboarding documents, and related book-development inputs.

You confirm that:

• you have the right to upload and use those materials in this workflow
• your materials do not knowingly infringe third-party rights
• your uploads do not contain unlawful or malicious content

You retain ownership of your underlying work. By uploading materials, you grant Living Literature a limited right to host, process, transform, and analyse them only to the extent needed to operate the beta workflow, companion-building pipeline, review steps, and related platform functions.

6. Permitted use

You may use Author-LL only for legitimate author onboarding, companion setup, preview, review, and related beta activities.

7. Prohibited use

You must not:

• upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content
• attempt to disrupt, probe, or compromise the platform
• misuse temporary accounts or credentials
• scrape, clone, or reverse-engineer the platform beyond lawful permitted use
• use the beta workflow in a way that harms the service or other participants

8. No guarantee / beta changes

Because this is a beta environment, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention of beta features or outputs, or fitness for a particular commercial outcome.

Workflows, layouts, and processing steps may change without prior notice. Access may be paused while fixes, reviews, or structural updates are made.

9. Intellectual property

Living Literature and its related platform materials, branding, workflows, and site content remain the property of their respective owner(s), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Your uploaded book and manuscript materials remain yours, subject to the limited processing rights described above.

10. Fees and payments

If paid author features, subscription access, or deployment fees are introduced, those will be described separately or added to these terms before general rollout.

Until then, beta access may be limited, free, invited, or separately agreed.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, the beta workflow is being misused, or access needs to be withdrawn for platform, legal, or operational reasons.

You may also stop using the beta workflow at any time.

12. Liability disclaimer

Author-LL is provided on a beta basis. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted service, permanent availability, or fitness for a particular commercial outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the beta develops. The latest version will be posted on this site with an updated date.
